6mm Pitch Machine-Sewn Indigo Deer Leather for Naginata.
These Kote belongs to the Mineline of bogu, which offers the best possible balance of performance versus cost
The deer leather is dyed with real Japanese aizome (indigo dye). This naginata equipment will age with a subtle patina, the soft blue hues of which are normally associated with hand-made armor.
Edges are sewn with a pitch tighter than 6 millimeter as the tighter stitch make the edges stiffer causing them to hold shape better. This technique is borrowed directly from the crafting of hand-stitched armor.
The padding components inside of the futon are specially selected for their protection and durability traits. The kote padding is layered with different materials to provide for protection, durability, and resistance to sweat.
The Te-no-uchi (palms) comes in two variations: Japanese deerskin palms or "Micro-punch" palms.

Hand measurement for Kote Sizing:
Please provide the following two measurements:
- A: distance from the tip of the middle finger to the wrist.
- B: circumferential distance around the fickest part of the hand
- You may also send by mail a draw of the outline of your hands. Holding the pen or pencil upright in a vertical position, rather than at an angle, will produce a much more accurate rendition of your hand.
